Farming Updates- Silaging!

With the weather predicting to be sunny you may see more farmers out and about the next few weeks with Mowers, Balers, Silage Wrappers, Tractors and Trailers! To name a few!

It's another important time of year for our farmers, mowing, baling and sealing said silage to preserve it; making a nutritious meal for livestock over the winter months. Many famers will also try to get a second cut, conditions permitting, along with a cut of hay in the drier months!

Please always remember to pick up your dog mess, no famer wants to be feeding their animals dog faeces. It's not just grass that is made into silage, often farmers will crop maize, oats, wheat or barley too for livestock food. So please bag it and put it in an appropriate bin.
